Okay guys, i know i've not been updating like shit lately. But I kinda have a big feez for writing a mystery story now :) Let's see if Im up to it? :D And let's see if i can really continue and finish my "novel" ! Go me! (inserts smiley)
I'm gonna call this thing...

Are you in this with me, or not?

Leslie-Ann Pintonio, woke up everyday with heavy head. Ready for cases of murder, theft, missing people and what nots. She's a 15 year old, studying in a public school just like anyone else. But she's got a special talent. Sleuthing. Her father, Larry Pintonio was a local paper journalist. Just like her father, Leslie was especially interested in this line. That particular morning, she woke up with an irritating buzzing ring tone from her cell.

"...Hel..lo?"
"Leslie! I can't believe you're not up yet! Have you read the papers?"
"No, Mischa, it's 7am. Early? Hello, EARLY!"
"You birdbrain! Go wash up, grab the papers downstairs, and call me back! ASAP."

And the she hung up. Leslie knew she could trust her best friend. She always there for her. Backing her up whenever she's on a case, guiding her academically and shopping with her on weekends. And when Mischa says it's important, then it is. She wasted no time, quickly brush her teeth and comb her thick jet black hair. Still in her nightie and bathrobe she skidded down the hallway and out to the garden. The newspaper lay there on the lawn, just waiting to be opened.
And just as she lifted up the paper, her eyes widen at the huge headline on page one.

Family of 5, SUICIDES.
Police cannot reason out why it happened

Leslie quickly flipped to the next page. There was a photo of the family of five. A man stood there next to a beautiful lady, with a big smile on his face, and a little boy of about 4 years old was sitting on his lap with a teddy bear. He had two other children, a girl aged about 10 and another boy of age 12.
Leslie's eyes filled with tears as she recognised the man. He was Mr Andrew Thompson, her English teacher.

The story continued -

"The bodies of the five members were discovered yesterday evening when a school teacher went to their house to find out the reason why Chris Thompson, aged 12, was not in for school yesterday and the day before. She told the police that she tried ringing the family many times but to no avail. Neither parents picked up their cellphones either. They were found, all lying on a big bed in the master bedroom, sleeping peacefully in their pajamas. There were about 5 bottles of sleeping pills at the bedside. Both parents were sleeping at the two edge and all the children were in the middle. The couple had their hands linked together over their children. -

The police later found out that Mrs Clarissa Thompson was a hotel manager and hardly had time for her kids. She takes time off only once a week to have dinner as a family. While Mr Andrew Thompson was a high school English teacher who have been teaching Besswood High for 8 years. His colleague and students loved him and always enjoyed his classes. He doesn't seem to have any bad friends or enemies. A cheerful person, was what everyone called him.

This case would most probably be classified under suicide but the forensic department is still working on their clues, believing that there could actually be more to this case."

Leslie's heart fell when she read til this part of the article. She had always loved English and creative writing. They were her favourite! She remembered Mr Thompson giving her advices on what to write for her competition essay last summer. Now it all turned blur. He's dead. Gone, everything's lost. He was a great teacher. A lovely friend. Leslie wiped her tears away as she tok the paper back into the house and in the kitchen. There her parents and older sister was sitting at the dining table watching the news on the mini tv above the fridge. All she could hear were mumbles from the news reporter's voice about a suicide in her neighbourhood. Something in her mind was whirling and she knew that she was on to something. She plodded up the stairs in her furry pink bunny slippers, scratching her head with thought.

"There must be more.. " she mumbled to herself as she closed her room door and sat on her bed. Millions of questions streamed into her mind. Mr Thompson couldn't be so selfish! He was a rational person and couldnt have thought about suicide to end problems. He didn't have any enemies... He said that he loved his children more than anything in the world! So why would he suddenly decide to end his life together with his family? Could it be his wife? No it can't be, he loved her! His children would not have known anything! They were just kids! Something's very wrong.
Leslie reached out to the phone on her desk and dialled Mischa's number. There's something she needs to find out!
